Start a new tradition with my giving plate craft

Hey there Reader,

I’ve been a little under the weather the past few days so please forgive my bloopers! I’m chalking it up to brain fog from being sick.

I really struggle with holiday gifts for neighbors. One of my neighbors is always so thoughtful and brings me seeds from her garden, homemade jams, and other wonderful items she makes. She knows I’m crafty too, but I never feel like my gifts are as awesome as hers. This year, I’m thinking about this NOW instead of last minute, which should help.

This brings me to today’s video. We are going to create a Giving Plate! If you’ve never heard of this, the sentiment behind it warms my heart. A Giving Plate usually has a special message and states what it is. The premise is you deliver a plateful of goodies to someone. They eat the goodies, fill the plate again, and pass it on to someone else.

The funny thing about having a craft business is that I rarely find time to create that doesn’t end up in a video. So, it means my list of things I want to make is WAY longer than I have time for creating. This is why, after many years, I’m finally getting around to making these lovely Giving Plates.

While this is a longer video, I think you’ll enjoy it. It’s not just about making the plate, I’m throwing out tips on cutting vinyl without a mat, adding it to a curved surface, and a few other things.

Did I mention I’ve got FREE files for you too? Yeah, this is my gift to you, 2 different versions to make your own Giving Plate!

Watch the video here, and let me know which plate you’re going to make!
